HeartBelly Hopeful

Hi Dana, I had a heart attack in 2010 and now have 3 stents. I followed Atkins for three years in the early 1990s. I fell off the diet due to artificial sweetners that caused me to seek sweetness and sugar like an crazed addict. Today with the onset of Type 2 diabetes, and after trying to lose weight on the medically recommended heart diet, I am revisiting low carbing. Over the last two years I was walking everyday with great effort and angina. Our local clinic educates new diabetic patients and the diabetes diet reminded me of low carbing. Plus I just finished reading the book WheatBelly which really shook me up.
I started listening to Robb Wolf's pod cast on iTunes and now your pod cast. I love the support and information from both. Keep pod casting! I listen as I walk my dog in the woods and work around the farm. I have been following the Paleo diet and I feel great. I have not had any angina since starting(two weeks) and I have more energy, so I hope I am doing the right thing. I will be returning to my doctor for blood work and I hope with all my heart that: my blood work will support the Paleo diet,I can get off Crestor and other drugs, and I will lose the heartbelly.
I have two of your cookbooks (which I love) and I signed up for your new Paleo cookbook. Please keep writing, pod casting and experimenting with food.
